Chole poori

Chole puri (white chickpeas)




When ever you want in restaurant menu having chole bhature or chole poori. Chole is a white chickpeas. It is good sources of protein . Some like chole with gravy some like without gravy and bhature basically made with all purpose flour (menda). I am shearing same restaurant style chole serve with whole wheat puff bread called puri.





Ingredients for chole :

Boiled chole               200 g
Chopped onion.         2 medium sized
Red chilli powder.      1 tbsp
Turmeric.                     1/2 tsp
Chole Masala.              1/2 tsp
Dry mango powder.     1/2 tsp
(Aamchur)
Cumin seeds.                1/2 tsp
Asafoetida                      1/2 tsp
Whole red chilli.             1
Salt                                   to teast
Oil.                                    2 tbsp
Water.                               As par required 



Method for chole:

1) take big  vessel and soke chole for 6 to 7 hours or over night. And pressure cook with salt.



2)chopped onion and  hit up your pan I am using non stick pan and add oil and Cumin seeds, whole red chilli and when it's cracking add Asafoetida.





3) now add chopped onions and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.



4) after that add 2 to 3 tbsp water and add red chill,Turmeric, salt, Aamchur,chole Masala and mix with water and cook for 1 minute. If you wish some more gravy add more water in this stage and cook until it's boil.



If you have not chole Masala then add garam Masala.




5) add cooked chole and cover it for 2 minutes.



6) garnish with onion rings and chopped coriander.



7) sevre with puri.
