Mava Gharee

MAVA GHAREE




Diwali festival something different from other festivals. So many lights,flowers, happiness all around us. In Diwali mava (khoya) sweets made in every kitchen. Basically this is surati  recipe. This is traditional recipe but I am little bit change. Normally coconut is not used in stuffing, but I am using it with mava.


Ingredients for recipe :


Stuffing :



Mava.                                 250 g
Desiccated Coconut           50 g
Powder sugar.                   180 g
Chopped nuts.                   2 tbsp
Cardamom powder.          1 tsp
Ghee.                                   1 tbsp

Ingredients for outer layer (paad)

All purpose flour                300 g
Ghee.                                    2tbsp
Water
Ghee                                     for dipfry
  
Dry flour                               for rolling


Method for recipe:

1)stuffing:

Take mava and mesh with hands or grated with greater.
Hit up your non stick kadaii add ghee and mava.



Stir it. After 5 to 7 minutes you can see the mava live side of pan. Switch off the flame

And transfer in to other bowl and cool down completely.




After  cool down the mava add powder sugar


Coconut





Cardamom powder.






Chopped nuts 
Mix well
Make balls and keep a side.




2) Method for outer layer (paad):




Take all purpose flour and add Ghee.  Mix well and add water in it and make a soft dough. Cover the dough for 20 minutes.


Now to make Gharee  take little Ghee in your hands and grease the dough. Make small balls and with help of rolling pin and board make thin poori.






Hit up ghee for dip fry.




Take a mava ball and place it in the senter of the poori and cover it. Take out the extra dough.







Now press it gentilly and gives a shape. Now dip in dry flour and roll it very slow. Make a shape of gharee.















Now in a medium heat dipfry gharee. Don't given golden colour just fry outside.

Serve cool. Enjoy your Diwali....... With sweet. ....
