Balushahi
Balushahi is traditional sweet recipe. Very popular in some parts of India. It is very similar to donuts but test and texture is different. So let's make it......
Ingredients for balushahi :
1) For dough :
All purpose flour. 1and 1/2 cup
Ghee. 1 /2 cup
Powder sugar. 1 and1/2 tbsp
Baking powder. 1 tsp
Baking soda. 1/4 tsp
Butter milk. 1/3 cup +2 tbsp
Ghee. dip fry
Ghee. 1 /2 cup
Powder sugar. 1 and1/2 tbsp
Baking powder. 1 tsp
Baking soda. 1/4 tsp
Butter milk. 1/3 cup +2 tbsp
Ghee. dip fry
2)For sugar syrup :
Sugar 1 and 1/2 cup
Water. 1 cup
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Yellow food colour. 3 to 4 drops
Water. 1 cup
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Yellow food colour. 3 to 4 drops
Method for Balushahi :
Add sugar in a vessel and add water and colour, boil it. Boil it for 5 minutes.
Hit up your Ghee for dip fry.
2)Dip frying bhalushahi in a slow flames for 12 to 15 minutes fry for golden brown colour.
4)now it's fun time,dip bhalushahi in sugar syrup 4 minutes for both sides.
5)take out bhalushahi and serve worm or chill.
6) if you wish garnish with chopped drynuts or plan or with chopped rose petals.
