Mix Dal Fry







Dal fry is very healthy and tasty dish for lunch or dinner. For this recipe I am using  three mixed dal. So let's start......


INGREDIENTS FOR RECIPE


Pressure cook dal.                 2 cups
Toovar dal,                               1 cup
Mag dal.                                 1/2 cup
Chana dal.                              1/3 cup
Tomatoes chopped.              2 medium size
Onions chopped.                   2 medium size
Whole  dry red chilly                    1
Turmeric powder.                   1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder.                  1 tsp
Garam masala.                        1 tsp
Aamchur powder.                    1 tsp
Bay leaf.                                     1
Cinnamon stick.                       1
Cloves.                                       2 to 3
Star anise.                                 1
Salt.                                           To taste
Ghee or butter.                        2 tbsp
Kasuri methi (optional)          1 tsp
Mustard seeds.                      1 tsp 
Water.                                     1and 1/2 glass 

METHOD FOR RECIPE :

1) soak Chana dal, Mag dal (split green gram), toovar dal for half an hour and pressure cook it.




2)hit up your non stick pan and add ghee, Cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, bay leaf, and Asafoetida and Kasuri methi,dry red chilly.



3)now add chopped onion and cook for few minutes after that add chopped tomatoes and cook.







4)now add dry spices red chilly powder, Turmeric powder, salt, Garm masala, Aamchur powder mix well.





5)add 1 cup Water and boiled dal and mix well.




6) cover it and cook 3 to 5 minutes. Savour with  jeera rice and papad.
