Kathiyawadi Split Green gram vegetable.

Green gram is very healthy pulse.
Indian home makers use green gram (મગ)
In their meal.For this recipe we use yellow green gram (peel the skin of green gram). Easy available in Indian grocer shop.This dal( pulse) famous for "Halva" ,"dry kachori" etc.We make spicy vegetable with out curry (રસા વીના)for your lunch or dinner time for "Saurastra (સૌરાષ્ટ) kathiyavadi style.
Ingredients :
Split green gram. 1 cup
Red chilly powder. 11/2 tsp
Turmeric powder. 1/2 tsp
Garam masala. 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds. 1/2 tsp
Cloves. 3
Cinnamon stick. 1 inch
Oil 2 tbsp
Water. 150 ml
Salt. 1/2 tsp
Green chilly. 1
Asafoetida. 1/2
Recipe Method :
1) soak spilt green gram for 2 hours.
2) after 2 hours remove soaked water.
3) Hit up your pan and oil put cumin seeds and cloves, cinnamon stick .
4) after crack cloves add Asafoetida ( Hing),dal,and all spices and salt, green chilly.
5) add water and cover it ,cook dal for 15 to 20 minutes in a medium hit.
6) add more water if required.
7) savour with roti, or paratha, with butter milk.
